چکیده

Segmentation of an object space by binary radiation sensors and geometric reference structures is studied in this paper. Given a family of binary radiation sensors and a geometric reference structure, we refer to the set of sensor states induced by a source at point as the signature of . We study the segmentation of an object space into signature cells and prove near-optimal bounds on the number of distinct signatures induced by a point source, as a function of sensor and reference structure complexity. We also show that almost any family of signatures can be implemented under this model.

Target detection Bridge Modelling using Point Cloud Segmentation Obtained from Photogrameric UAV

In recent years, great efforts have been made to generate 3D models of urban structures in photogrammetry and remote sensing. 3D reconstruction of the bridge, as one of the most important urban structures in transportation systems, has been neglected because of its geometric and structural complexity. Due to the UAV technology development in spatial data acquisition, in this study, the point cl...

A Markov Random Field Approach to Multi-scale Shape Analysis

Characterizing the geometric conformation of object complexes requires the description of certain geometric features. These features are most intuitive and provide locality if each is at a restricted range of scale. Thus a complete representation of a geometric entity, such as an object, includes descriptions at multiple scale levels, each describing a residue from the information provided at t...

Scale-Space on Image Profiles about an Object Boundary

Traditionally, image blurring by diffusion is done in Euclidean space, in an image-based coordinate system. This will blur edges at object boundaries, making segmentation difficult. Geometry-driven diffusion [1] uses a geometric model to steer the blurring, so as to blur along the boundary (to overcome noise) but edge-detect across the object boundary. In this paper, we present a scale-space on...

Segmentation Assisted Object Distinction for Direct Volume Rendering

Ray Casting is a direct volume rendering technique for visualizing 3D arrays of sampled data. It has vital applications in medical and biological imaging. Nevertheless, it is inherently open to cluttered classification results. It suffers from overlapping transfer function values and lacks a sufficiently powerful voxel parsing mechanism for object distinction. In this work, we are proposing an ...

Object-Based Classification of UltraCamD Imagery for Identification of Tree Species in the Mixed Planted Forest

This study is a contribution to assess the high resolution digital aerial imagery for semi-automatic analysis of tree species identification. To maximize the benefit of such data, the object-based classification was conducted in a mixed forest plantation. Two subsets of an UltraCam D image were geometrically corrected using aero-triangulation method. Some appropriate transformations were perfor...
